I get up early so I can get out before everyone else. Try it+I swear you'll feel like the streets are yours.

falling.

Today I fell while skateboarding. I had this idea that I wouldn't fall. I just wouldn't let it happen. I fell twice today.

The first time was on my way into work. Fell into a bush.

The second time was coming home. I just fell on my face that time.

Falling is funny. Like hecka funny. But kinda only if you're with someone. If you're alone, it's risky business. Embarrassing, even.

The idea that I wouldn't fall was unrealistic. There's scrapes on my upper left arm from the bush I fell into. My wrists hurt a little from face-planting. I have an idea of why I fell twice today when I haven't before: I was carrying a purse and it threw off what little balance I have (no more purses) + my legs were tired + I was rushing + I wasn't skating to the pretend metronome that plays in my head when I'm kicking+pushing+coasting down the street because I was too busy rushing.

Falling was sobering.

Went out with a friend (thanks!). Beautiful Bay day, big empty parking lot, a cop watched but didn't bother (that'll do pig... that'll do).

I've been in a rut. This helped a bit.
